Project Agreement

By engaging Astro Electric for services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this project agreement. These terms govern all electrical work performed by Astro Electric.

Code Compliance

Astro Electric shall perform all work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) 2023 and the 2021 Washington State Energy Code – Residential, ensuring adherence to all applicable codes and standards.

Estimates and Payment Requirements

Estimates do not include taxes or permit fees unless otherwise listed in the estimate. Work under this agreement shall not be scheduled, commenced, or performed until the required payment has been received and cleared. No materials will be ordered, and no labor will be scheduled until payment is confirmed.

Payments not received within 14 days of the due date will incur a late fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance. Invoice may be paid via credit card for additional 3% of the total invoice if invoice total exceeds $500.

Scope of Work Exclusions

The following items are expressly excluded from Astro Electric's Scope of Work unless specifically contracted otherwise:

  • Temporary power pole
  • Trenching
  • Holes required in special surfaces such as countertops, concrete, tile, or similar materials
  • Drywall and paint repair

Workmanship Warranty

Astro Electric provides a one (1) year workmanship warranty on all installations performed under this Agreement. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but excludes any materials, equipment, or components not supplied directly by Astro Electric or damages resulting from misuse, alterations, or external factors beyond Astro Electric's control including servicing performed by any other party other than Astro Electric.

Trip charge of $250 may apply if Astro Electric is called for a warranty claim and the issue is caused by material or labor not supplied by Astro Electric.

Manufacturer Warranties

Manufacturers' limited warranties apply to all products supplied by Astro Electric. The enforcement of such warranties is at the manufacturer's discretion. Labor charges at standard rates of $125/hour - $195/hour per electrician (rounded up to the nearest 15 minute increment) may apply for the removal and reinstallation of manufacturer-replaced products.

Working Hours and After-Hours Work

Astro Electric's normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Contract Price covers Work performed during these hours.

If the Client requests Work outside these hours, they shall compensate Astro Electric at 150% of the current standard hourly labor rate of $125/hour - $195/hour per electrician (rounded up to the nearest 15 minute increment). Any after-hours Work must be explicitly requested and authorized by the Client in writing in advance.

Property Rights and Legal Action

All materials installed and provided by Astro Electric remain the property of Astro Electric until full payment is received. Should legal action be required to recover payment, the purchaser agrees to cover all reasonable attorney fees and court costs.

Site Access and Parking

Astro Electric shall be granted timely and unrestricted access to the Project Site and facilities where services are to be performed. Sufficient parking shall be made available near the Project Site, and it is the responsibility of the Owner or General Contractor to ensure that such parking is provided. If the commencement or progress of the Work is prevented or delayed due to lack of full access, insufficient parking, incomplete Client preparation, or delays caused by other trades or subcontractors, Astro Electric reserves the right to charge reasonable additional fees to cover costs incurred from resulting idle time, re-mobilization, or schedule disruption.

Safety Requirements

The general contractor, builder, or other responsible party shall furnish and install all safety equipment necessary for workers of Astro Electric to safely and effectively perform their portion of the Project. This includes, but is not limited to, all required safety devices, barricades, railings, and fall protection. All such measures must comply with applicable laws, safety codes, Washington Industrial Commission regulations, OSHA standards, and recognized industry best practices. At a minimum, these measures must meet or exceed the safety requirements set forth by the State of Washington or any other relevant regulatory authority.

Liability Limitations

Astro Electric shall not be responsible for theft or damage of products that are left on the Project Site.

Astro Electric shall not be liable for impacts, delays, or associated costs (including tariffs) arising from circumstances beyond its control.

Change Orders

Any change orders or additional work completed outside of the original Scope of Work will be charged accordingly.

Termination

Astro Electric and the Contractor/Owner may terminate this Working Agreement at any time, with or without cause, upon providing written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the Contractor/Owner agrees to settle all outstanding balances within 24 hours, including payment for all labor hours already completed and for any parts or materials purchased or prepared for the Project. Any special-order parts will be billed in full and are non-returnable. Astro Electric shall not be held liable for any further obligations beyond those specified herein following termination.

Severability

In case any part of this Working Agreement is found invalid by a competent court, such invalidity shall apply only to the said provision, and the rest shall remain valid and enforceable. By signing or approving this document, the customer accepts the prices, specifications, and conditions outlined in this document and authorizes Astro Electric to perform the work as estimated.
